Color of Dam
The result will show the probabilities, expressed as a percentage, of color
probabilities from the breeding. These probabilities are based on the
Australian color tables of over 10,000 breedings found in
Alpacas: Synthesis of a Miracle. When receiving your results, it is
always interesting to note which colors either do not come up or occur
infrequently.
For this calculator to work, you must assign colors as follows:
-
fawn and roan alpacas were assigned to red;
-
silver grays and blacks were assigned to black;
-
browns were assigned to brown;
-
whites were assigned to white;
-
multicoloreds were assigned according to the mix of colors listed, for example,
a dark fawn/light fawn/white alpaca was assigned to red; a dark fawn/medium
gray alpaca (roan) was assigned to brown.
