The Alpaca Institute @ NWA grew out of the idea that educated alpaca owners
breed better alpacas. It is a simple idea, really – better knowledge leads to
better decisions. The Alpaca Institute @ NWA has 12 new and different seminars
all geared to help you in your alpaca business. Study alpaca marketing and
genetics or husbandry and fleece judging from some of the best in the industry.

Institute classes are held on-site at Northwest Alpacas. Recently, the ranch
opened its new 1,000 square foot educational center. This new state-of-the-art
lecture space makes learning easy and dynamic. And the alpacas are right
outside, allowing for frequent hands-on sessions.
The Institute offers comfortable class-size. There are group sessions of 20 to
30 for larger lectures and more intimate one-on-one sessions for special
topics. It’s a great way to learn the business!
Institute instructors Mike Safley and Fred Kraft
invite you to experience the power of knowledge at the new Alpaca Institute @
NWA. In addition to the regular staff at the institute, frequent guest lectures
help to bring fresh ideas from around the alpaca world. Recent guest speakers
include Don Julio Barreda, of Peru, and Cameron Holt, of Australia.

A Day at the Ranch
Northwest Alpacas is excited to announce this new program, which is held
on most Mondays of each month. The day is organized to give prospective alpaca breeders
a snapshot of what it takes to operate a successful ranch operation. This seminar
is free and includes lunch with the Northwest Alpacas staff.

Price of $75 to $125.00 per person includes lunch and course materials. The one day seminars
are free to clients that have purchased alpacas from Northwest Alpacas. Attendees
may purchases a copy of either Ideal Alpacas:

Price of $250.00 per couple or $150.00 per individual, includes lunch, dinner and
course materials for three days. For attendees who purchase alpacas or breedings from Northwest Alpacas, the seminar price will be credited toward their purchase.
